About
One of the oldest properties in Hogsback, rich in history and roses.
A property with a story
The original thatched homestead, inspired by the shape of a horseshoe, was built in the 1950s. The owner hailed from Scotland near St. Andrews and named the property after an old castle ruin called Dunaverty.
The home was bought in 2005 and lovingly restored. After a fire in 2013, the ruins were brought back to life by establishing a rose nursery, uniquely designed in the shape of a rose bloom. A large variety of rose bushes are available for sale to the public.
A prosthetic business also operates on the property, offering rehabilitation services in tranquil surroundings.

A Garden With Heart
Mon?s Garden is more than just landscaped greenery ? it?s the result of passion and persistence. Owner Monika Hof, originally from Germany, rebuilt the property and planted the garden after a house fire forced a fresh start on the land. Her love for roses and gardening has shaped it into a rose nursery and sanctuary, filled with colour, scent and life throughout the seasons.
The garden?s mix of established plantings and thoughtful water-wise irrigation reflects both artistic care and sustainable practices, giving guests an experience that feels like a gentle retreat from the everyday hustle.
